Description
Ashmore Design, the designers for the Tommy Bahama Show Home in Naples, Florida, were looking for a striking design element for the home’s grand living room. The material had to be unique enough to stand on its own and support the modern/tropical motif while also providing concealment for the large screen TV, when not in use.
The Durapalm Manali carved panel was chosen for the task. Featuring a rich, textural palmwood face, carved to reveal a cross-laminated bamboo ply core, the Manali panel is a work of art. The panels were fastened to a movable steel frame structure to aid in the ease of panel door movement when needed.
The effect worked perfectly and the team at Tommy Bahama were pleased with the truly unique material and aesthetic the Durapalm panels provided to the design.
