Description
Macanda is a high-design concept restaurant located in Wayzata, MN, just outside of Minneapolis on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. Every detail, from the furnishings and decor, to the food and beverage offerings are crafted to evoke a mythical and magical atmosphere, inspired by Latin America and the culturally important mango tree. The tone is set the moment customers walk into the space, with abundant foliage and Durapalm ‘Agra’ carved palm wood panels, transporting patrons into the Macanda dreamscape.
According to Kelly Sims, Director of Marketing and Business Development for InnerBloom Hospitality, palm wood panels were chosen by InnerBloom’s leadership team to “help set a natural tone” and add “dimension and a high-end level of detail” to the space. In particular, the ‘Agra’ panel was selected because of the interesting contrast it adds against the natural lighting and greenery. “We are happy with the outcome and receive many compliments!” Kelly added.
